No effort side dish? Done! These maple and brown sugar glazed carrots couldn’t be easier! I love to make these crock pot carrots for holidays.
Why you’ll love it too:
- This dish is virtually no work- seriously like 5 minutes of prep time!
- It’s pretty inexpensive, like less than $10.
- The carrots are so flavorful! They are “so fall” with maple, brown sugar and rosemary added in. You could definitely change up the seasonings and flavor profile though. Ranch seasoning would be great!
- It feeds a crowd- we are using 4 pounds of baby carrots which will easily serve 10 people. You can double the recipe for more.

- Crock Pot– 4 quart size or larger
- Baby carrots– I’m using 2-2 pound bags of baby carrots for an easy short cut, but you can use whole carrots as well.
- Light brown sugar and pure maple syrup for sweetness. You can use honey in place of the maple syrup if you’d like.
- Seasonings– salt, pepper, garlic, fresh rosemary
- Unsalted butter– this makes a delicious butter sauce mixed with the other ingredients.
How to make it
It’s almost too easy
To the slow cooker add the carrots. Sprinkle the brown sugar and all of the seasonings over top. Pour in the maple syrup and mix together.
Place the slices of butter over the top of the carrots.
Cover and cook on high for 4 hours.
Add more seasonings to taste and enjoy!
