This snack mix isn’t just for road trips! This seasoned mix is great for parties and holidays, or really any occasion. It’s so simple to put together; just mix the ingredients and pop into the oven to lock in the seasonings.

You can make this snack mix a couple days ahead of when you need it. It is a crowd pleaser! This recipe make A LOT, at least 10 cups, which helps it not to disappear….too fast. 😉

This zesty snack mix is loaded with all the family favorites! Of course, there has to be goldfish crackers (if you have kids anyway lol), oyster crackers (a personal favorite), a flavor combo of parmesan and cheddar Cheez-It’s, salty pretzels (my husband’s favorite) and Bugles. Everyone loves those crispy corn horns!

Of course you can swap the snacks with other varieties your family like or leave things out. Customize it to your taste.

It makes a great homemade holiday gift, too! Perfect for your neighbors, co-workers, teacher gifts, or to bring to a party.

This snack mix is easy to make, it’s ready in 30 minutes, and can be made a couple days ahead. We recently took a huge bowl on our 8 hour car ride to a family vacation in the Smoky Mountains where we rented a cabin with 14 of us total. It was a blast! Yes, we had black bears! We saw a bear family every day and they made regular appearances on the porch.

This snack mix was a hit! I make it for every road trip because it’s so delicious.

What you’ll need

  • Large sheet pan– I’m using a 22″x16″ size. You can also use 2-3 smaller sheet pans.
  • A LARGE mixing bowl– the largest you have! This makes a lot of snack mix. You can split it between 2 or 3 containers if you need to.
  • Cheez-Its– I’m using the duo box of the cheddar and parmesan flavor but use any flavor you like. The jalapeño would be great.
  • Bugles corn chips
  • Oyster crackers- Can also use mini saltine crackers
  • Mini twisted pretzels
  • Goldfish– I add these because my kids love goldfish, but they can be left out.
  • For the seasoning: Olive oil, 1 ounce packet of ranch seasoning, dill, mustard powder and garlic powder.
