This sweet and salty Monster Mix, made with pretzels, Chex cereals, peanuts, candy corn, and M&Ms is the perfect snack mix for the Halloween season.

If you are a fan of a sweet and salty combo, then this snack mix is for you! It combines salty peanuts, pretzels and cereal with sweet M&Ms and candy corn in a brown sugar maple glaze. It’s perfect for any Halloween or fall gathering.
It disappears fast, so you might want to whip up an extra batch!

- Large Sheet Pan
- Parchment paper
- Unsalted butter
- Brown sugar- I used light brown sugar, but dark brown sugar works as well
- Vanilla extract
- Pure maple syrup
- Rice Chex cereal
- Corn Chex cereal
- Mini pretzel twists
- Peanuts- I used lightly salted
- Halloween M&Ms-you could substitute Reese’s Pieces
- Candy corn

How to make it
Preheat oven to 275°F
In a microwave safe bowl combine the butter, brown sugar, maple syrup and vanilla extract. Microwave in 30 second intervals until the butter is melted and the mixture is smooth, stirring halfway through.
Meanwhile in a large bowl combine both Chex cereals, peanuts and pretzels.
Pour the brown sugar butter mixture into the bowl and mix well.
Spread the snack mixture onto a parchment lined sheet pan in a single layer.
Bake for 30 minutes, flipping the snack mixture halfway.
Let the snack mix cool. Add in the candy corn and M&Ms and mix together.
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 3 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 3 cups Corn Chex cereal
- 2 cups mini pretzel twists

- 1 cup candy corn
