When your sweet tooth hits, these Frozen Banana Treats are just the thing to satisfy!

I love making frozen banana treats. They are like a healthy candy bar- sort of 😉 But they are delicious, easy to customize with your favorite toppings, and will help keep you on track.

If you are trying to eat healthier, but still have a sweet tooth (ME), these are perfect! Frozen bananas are so refreshing on a hot summer day without leaving you feeling blah like some frozen sweet treats can.

What you’ll need

  • Sheet pan
  • Parchment paper or foil for easy clean up
  • Bananas
  • Toppings- I used peanut butter, honey, mini chocolate chips and sea salt

How to make it

Peel bananas. Cut in half and cut in half again lengthwise so you have a flat surface.

Lay bananas on a parchment lined sheet pan.

Melt peanut butter in the microwave in 30 second intervals until pourable.

Drizzle the peanut butter and honey over the bananas as much as you like. Sprinkle mini chocolate chips and a dash of flaky sea salt.

Freeze 30 minutes.

These will stay fresh in the freezer a couple of days. Just leave them on a sheet pan or a freezer container, but don’t seal or put a lid on. I found sealing the bananas makes them mushy and not good.

Topping options

So many topping options! Top your bananas with your favorites!

Suggestions:

  • Caramel sauce
  • Melted chocolate
  • Chocolate honey
  • Coconut flakes
  • Chopped nuts
