Cherries in the Snow is my go-to party dessert. It uses cherry pie fruit filling, but you could use any fruit filling you like. Blueberry would be delicious!
It’s a make-ahead dish and I love to be prepared! There’s only 6 ingredients and most you probably already have in your pantry! Most importantly, it’s delicious! It’s been around forever for a reason! Cherries in the snow is like a cherry cheesecake in a trifle dish.

- Trifle dish or you can use a 9×13 baking dish– I love a trifle because you can see all the layers.
- Boxed angel food cake mix-you could also take a bigger shortcut and get a premade angel food cake or pound cake.
- Cream cheese
- Powdered sugar
- Almond extract– cherries and almond extract were made for each other!
- Whipped topping– I’m using store bought, but you can use homemade whipped cream
- Cherry Fruit Filling– or your fruit filling of choice
