Beach Towel Bunny
This Beach Towel Bunny is the perfect addition to any Easter basket!
How cute is this little bunny! It’s easily made from a beach towel and perfect for a summer themed Easter basket. There’s a how-to video at the bottom of this post if you are more of a visual person.
What you’ll need
- A beach towel- any size works!
- Something to secure the towel such as ribbon, a large rubber band or I used a stretchy cloth headband.
- Optional- goggles or sunglasses
How to make your Beach Towel Bunny
- Lay your towel out flat on a large working surface with the towel pattern side down.
2. Starting at one corner tightly roll the towel towards the middle, on an angle, until you get to the approximate middle of the towel.
3. Roll from the corner (tightly) from the opposite side until both rolls meet in the middle. It will look very long and should look off center like the picture below.
4. Fold the entire towel over on itself so it’s folded in half evenly.
5. Then you’ll fold it again back on itself. Take the loose edges side (these will become the ears) and fold the towel back over so the edges are on top of the folded end and hang over a little. We want a slight over hang so the “ears” can stand up. See picture below:
6. Take the headband, rubber band, ribbon, or whatever you are going to secure the towel with and place it around the towel about halfway.
You’ll want the band behind the ears so the ears can be flipped up.
7. Flip the ears up and adjust the face and ears as necessary to be more bunny like.
8. Add sunglasses or goggles and you are all set for a beach bunny basket!
