Chicken Salad in the Air Fryer
Chicken Salad in the Air Fryer makes the most juicy, flavorful chicken and it’s super easy!
This post was sponsored, but all opinions are my own.
Why make your chicken for chicken salad in the air fryer? Because it makes the most flavorful and juicy chicken salad. Just scrumptious!
And it’s so easy. Toss the chicken in oil and spices and pop it in basket to let the air fryer do it’s thing. It couldn’t be easier. No bland chicken salad here, my friend!
This recipe is easy and comes together super quick. I made these chicken salad sandwiches for a day at the beach. Yum!
Tip!
If you add leaf lettuce to both sides of the bread and wrap the sandwiches well, they won’t get soggy.
Chicken salad is delicious on buns, croissants, or to scoop with crackers. So versatile! It’s a crowd pleasing type of thing, so it’s a no fail choice for any party, luncheon, picnic, or shower.
Another crowd pleasing sandwich is the Pittsburgh Style Italian Beef. So good!
What you’ll need
- Air Fryer
I am using the Cosori Turbo Blaze Air Fryer. It’s my absolute favorite! It’s user friendly, especially if you are new to the world of air frying. The basket and crisper plate are dishwasher safe, which makes clean up a breeze!
The Cosori TurboBlaze is a quality air fryer, so you won’t see the nonstick coating peeling off like other air fryers.
It has a large 6 quart basket, yet is still compact and small enough to sit on your counter.
I love mine! If you want to snag one for yourself or for a gift, go to the Cosori Website and use my code STEPH20 to save 20% and free shipping!
- Food processor– I like my chicken finely shredded and a food processor does the work for you. If you like your chicken salad chunky with larger pieces of chicken, skip the food processor and dice your chicken with a knife instead.
- For the chicken: 2 chicken breast, olive oil, black pepper, salt, paprika, cumin, garlic powder and onion powder
- For the chicken salad: celery, mayo, dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and onion powder
How to make Air Fryer Chicken Salad
Start by making the air fryer chicken: coat the chicken breasts on both sides with the olive oil and seasonings. (Pepper, salt, paprika, cumin, garlic powder and onion powder)
Air fry at 360° for 10 minutes, flip and cook another 7 minutes.
Let the chicken rest 5 minutes and cut into cubes.
Add the chopped chicken to a food processor and pulse until finely shredded. If you like your chicken on the chunky side, skip this step.
Place the chicken and remaining ingredients (celery, mayo, mustard, salt, pepper and onion powder) to a large mixing bowl and mix until well combined. Add more seasonings as desired.
Spread on bread, buns or crackers and enjoy!
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
The perfect sandwich for a beach day or picnic.
